We are seeking a strategic US Tax Director to join our Global Tax
Policy & Advocacy Team. In this pivotal role, you will lead efforts
to influence tax policy developments in the US and other key
regions, aligning them with AstraZenecas business objectives. Your
expertise in US tax laws and regulations, combined with your
advocacy skills, will be crucial in representing the companys
interests across these markets. Are you prepared to make a
significant impact? Accountabilities: Drive the development and
implementation of a global tax policy strategy that aligns with
AstraZenecas business goals and values in key regions, including
the U.S. Monitor and analyze tax policy developments, legislative
changes, and trends. Evaluate their potential impact on AstraZeneca
and craft proactive policy responses. Establish relationships with
key partners, including government officials, industry
associations, and policymakers. Represent AstraZenecas tax
interests in discussions and forums. Work closely with
cross-functional teams, including Legal, Government Affairs, and
Corporate Affairs, to align tax policy initiatives with broader
corporate strategies. Provide insights and strategic analysis on
emerging tax issues to senior leadership, serving as a subject
matter expert in US tax policy. Support AstraZenecas compliance
with relevant tax regulations and participate in managing risks
associated with tax policy changes. Essential Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in taxation, Law, Economics, or a related field 8
years of experience in US tax law, with significant experience in
tax advocacy or policy. Strong understanding of global tax policy
frameworks and regulatory environments. In-depth knowledge of US
federal, state and local tax regulations. Excellent strategic
thinking and analytical skills. Proven track record in tax advocacy
and stakeholder engagement including representing companies in
front of legislative bodies. Excellent written and verbal
communication skills with the ability to influence at various
organizational levels to diverse audiences. High level of
integrity, professional judgment, and strategic thinking. Desirable
Skills/Experience: Master’s degree or CPA preferred. 10 years of
experience in US tax law, with significant experience in tax

181,576.00 - 272,364.00 USD Annual The annual base pay (or hourly
rate of compensation) for this position is outlined above. Hourly
and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay
when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary
depending on multiple individualized factors, including market
location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In
addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus
opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based
long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a
retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment
eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified
retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid
leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug,
dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and
conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of
participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an
