Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Speech
Language Pathologist (SLP) with a valid Maryland professional
license is needed to provide comprehensive speech-language services
for students in grades preschool through 8th grade in a K-12 school
setting located in Glen Burnie, MD. This is a contract position
spanning the current school year (CSY) with opportunities for
extension into extended school year (ESY) services during July
2026. Key Responsibilities: Deliver evidence-based speech and
language therapy to students aged preschool through middle school,
including elementary (PreK-5) and secondary (6-8) grade levels.
Provide itinerant services to community preschool students five
days per week, requiring travel between multiple locations. Conduct
therapy sessions primarily at Magnolia Elementary, Prospect Mill
Elementary, and Aberdeen Middle School based on assigned schedules.
Supervise Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) in supporting
student services, particularly at the secondary level. Collaborate
with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education
plans (IEPs) reflective of students' needs. Comply with House Bill
486 requirements, including district background checks and
employment history reviews. Desired Qualifications: Active Maryland
Speech Language Pathologist professional license. Experience
working with preschool to middle school student populations.
Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday through
Friday) or part-time (30 hours per week, Monday through Thursday
with potential to extend to five days). Strong skills in
speech-language assessments, therapy implementation, and progress
monitoring. Effective communication and teamwork skills
particularly when supervising and collaborating with SLP-A staff.
Location: On-site position in Glen Burnie, MD, with itinerant
services at multiple school locations in the Baltimore area.
