Senior Civil Engineer – Contract Opportunity (Pittsburgh, PA)
On-site at client location | Contract Duration: 3–6 months Per
Diem: $184/day (7 days/week) Are you a seasoned Civil Engineer with
a passion for solving complex challenges in industrial
environments? We're seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to
join a dynamic team supporting projects across sectors like oil &
gas, energy, food & beverage, renewables, and more. In this role,
you’ll lead civil design work on a variety of projects ranging from
small-scale upgrades to large, multidiscipline redevelopments.
You'll be part of a collaborative engineering team dedicated to
delivering high-quality solutions safely, efficiently, and on time.
What You'll Do: Lead and execute civil/structural engineering tasks
including site investigations, design bases, and structural
analysis. Support projects involving repairs, new installations,
redevelopments, and performance investigations. Use tools like RISA
and RISA Foundation for structural modeling and design. Prepare
detailed design sketches, calculations, reports, specifications,
and quantity take-offs. Review and approve engineering drawings,
conduct client meetings, and provide technical leadership. Ensure
compliance with all applicable engineering codes, standards, and
safety regulations. ? What We're Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in
Civil Engineering 10 years of experience in civil/structural
engineering (heavy industrial or glass industry experience a plus)
Proficiency with structural analysis software and manual design
calculations Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to
mentor junior team members Experience with the full project
lifecycle—from preliminary design to commissioning Familiarity with
HSE regulations and practices on construction sites PE licensure
preferred (ability to stamp drawings) This is an exciting
