Operations Manager

SUMMARY DESCRPTION:
This role involves leading a team of Ship Managers and Operations
Assistants, ensuring compliance with training and labor laws. It
oversees ship operations to maintain schedules, contractual
obligations, and coordination with partners. Responsibilities also
include optimizing voyage efficiency, implementing operational
procedures, improving shipping routes, maintaining key documents,
and monitoring fuel consumption and environmental compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To manage a team of Ship managers and Operations Assistants, ensure
trainings are up to date and that the working hours regulations
laws are followed.
To ensure that the ships belonging to the CMA CGM shipping Lines,
respect the planned schedules and that operations are in compliance
with the contractual obligations.
To ensure that the ships belonging to the CMA CGM partners follow
the agreed plans (port call, scheduling, allocation).
To recommend structural or permanent adjustments to ensure that the
ship journeys proceed in good conditions (voyage costs, and
schedule integrity)
To ensure smooth communication related to his scope (information
regarding schedule, vessels loading / unloading, daily reporting)
to internal and external stakeholders
To define and to implement operational procedures within the
Line.
To participate in design of new Lines and improvement of existing
ones.
To maintain and distribute a set of documents (proformats, Long
term schedules/LTC, and daily position sheet/DPS) and data base
fill in.
To monitor bunker consumption, Co2 emissions, extra cost, CII
(Carbon intensity Index) of the fleet and ensure compliance of
local regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree preferred
Maritime School preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred
1-3 years Ship Manager experience
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Merchant Navy deck
officer experience.
