*Nursing Assistant Job Description**Job Summary*We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated GNA Weekend Warrior to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including geriatrics, urgent care, and medical-surgical environments. You will play a crucial role in ensuring patient comfort and safety while assisting with daily activities and basic medical care. This is a Weekend position and includes a special weekend warrior bonus included with the rate. Must have a valid Geriatric assistant license to be eligibel for this position.*Responsibilities** Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.* Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff.* Provide basic life support as needed and assist in emergency situations.* Support patients with mobility challenges, including transferring them safely to and from beds or wheelchairs.* Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.* Assist in the care of patients with infectious diseases while adhering to safety guidelines.* Document patient information accurately using eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems.* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient service.*Skills** Proficient in Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques.* Experience working with individuals with disabilities and children is highly valued.* Knowledge of geriatrics and urgent care practices is preferred.* Familiarity with infectious disease care protocols.* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.* Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.* Experience in medical-surgical settings is a plus.Join our team as a GNA weekend warrior where you can make a difference in the lives of patients every day!Job Type: Part-timePay: $18.78 - $20.00 per hourExpected hours: 30 32 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Vision insurancePhysical Setting:* Long term care* Nursing home* Rehabilitation centerSupplemental Pay:* Bonus opportunitiesAbility to Commute:* Potomac, MD 20854 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Potomac, MD 20854: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In personby Jobble
