DESCRIPTION Title: Mental Health Therapist Department: Behavioural
Health Direct Report: Program Director Supervises: None Work
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The primary
responsibility of the mental health therapist is to perform
diagnostics interviews and evaluate patients referred for mental
problems such as situational disorder, neuroses, major mental
illness and, psychoses. The therapist also provides diagnosis and
recommendation for inpatient or outpatient treatment. Duties &
Responsibilities Conduct Psycho-socio assessment and make necessary
recommendation for the next step of treatment. Sets objectives and
goals for treatment and develops treatment plans, implements and
monitors treatment plan. Provides individual or group treatment,
such as psychotherapy, supportive therapy or crisis intervention on
a long term or short-term basis. Consult with family, community and
external health agencies to obtain information and to coordinate
therapy, and to help patients utilize resources of agencies.
Maintains patients chart and records, including evaluation,
progress notes, individual treatment plan, and discharge summaries.
Makes arrangement for inpatient care for patients as needed to
facilitate admission to hospital, state or other private
institution. Foster a staff culture that supports Enfield Locke
values and codes of conduct. Provide assistance and information to
Enfield Locke management as requested. Compliance and attendance of
scheduled clinical supervision meetings. Compliance with all
administrative and clinical policies and procedures including
HIPPA. Participation in the peer review process as coordinated by
the agency. Participation in all scheduled staff meetings. Other
duties as assigned. Other functions There are a number of standard

Documentation skills. Performance Metrics for the Role: Successful
completion of probation and ongoing satisfactory performance in
role includes the following: Ensuring 100% compliance with all
COMAR mandated deadlines on service documentation. Ensuring
accuracy & completion of all client's charts to meet mandated COMAR
guidelines. Attending all scheduled Administrative and Supervisory
meetings. Attending all scheduled quarterly meetings with the
Founder/Program Director. Supervisory Responsibility Currently -
None Required Education and Experience Education: Minimum of a
masters degree in social work, psychology and mental health
counseling or a related field from an accredited college or
university. Special Requirement: In addition to a masters degree,
candidates must have a valid license as a Licensed social worker or
professional counselor [LMSW, LGPC, LCSW-C or LCPC]. Experience:

sensitive situations in relation to Consumer care. Work Environment
This job operates in an office and community settings including
consumers homes. This role also requires routine use of standard
office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing
cabinets and fax machines. This role is located at the Enfield
Locke corporate office in Baltimore and also in community settings.
