Speech Language Pathologist Location: Silver Spring, MD Agency: United Health Care Staffing Pay: $57 per hour Shift Information: Days Contract Duration: 13 Days Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Speech Language Pathologist Location: Silver Spring, MD Start Date: 03-02-2026 End Date: 05-30-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: Sunday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day) Hours per Week: 35 Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour Roles & Responsibilities Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing function to create individualized care plans Design and deliver evidence-based therapy programs that help patients meet meaningful goals Document progress clearly and timely in the electronic health record to ensure continuity of care Collaborate with nurses, occupational and physical therapists, physicians and families to coordinate holistic care Provide family and caregiver education to promote carryover and functional outcomes Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, discharge planning and quality improvement initiatives Maintain professional licensure, mandatory training and compliance with facility policies Qualifications Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) — Maryland license or ability to obtain state licensure Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent) and ASHA CCC-SLP preferred Experience in adult rehab/acute care settings preferred; strong assessment and treatment skills Current CPR/BLS certification (facility requirement may apply) Clear background check and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach Education Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required) Knowledge & Skills Skilled in dysphagia assessment and treatment, cognitive-communication and voice/fluency interventions Knowledge of standardized assessment tools and goal writing best practices Proficient with electronic health records and timely clinical documentation Ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary care teams Comfortable providing patient/caregiver education and training Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) approaches a plus Benefits Generous housing stipend and travel reimbursement to make your contract comfortable and convenient Comprehensive medical, dental & vision coverage to keep you healthy Licensure assistance and reimbursement to support your professional mobility Support for continuing education and professional development Paid time off so you can recharge between assignments A collaborative, supportive team that values your expertise and growth Referral bonus program — bring a friend and celebrate together Robust onboarding and clinical support so you hit the ground running Travel Perks: Explore Silver Spring, MD Silver Spring is a lively, convenient home base for this contract.
