Roles & Responsibilities Perform thorough occupational therapy evaluations to identify patient strengths and needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence and function Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for a diverse adult rehab population Train patients and caregivers in adaptive techniques and safe transfers to improve outcomes Document progress clearly and timely in the electronic medical record Collaborate closely with nurses, PTs, SLPs and case managers to coordinate care Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care Float between assigned centers as needed to support patient care and coverage Qualifications Active Occupational Therapy license in Maryland (required) Certified Occupational Therapist (OTR/L preferred) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification Comfortable with documentation in EMR systems and strong clinical reasoning Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines Experience in inpatient or outpatient rehab settings preferred; new grads considered Education Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OT/OTD) or equivalent entry-level degree Knowledge & Skills Skilled in patient assessment, treatment planning, and ADL training Knowledgeable about adaptive equipment, splinting, and therapeutic modalities Strong documentation and time-management skills Ability to adapt treatment approaches for diverse diagnoses and ages Familiarity with discharge planning, insurance processes, and rehab protocols Comfortable floating between clinic locations and adjusting to different team workflows Benefits Generous travel support and local housing assistance to make your assignment comfortable Medical, dental & vision coverage so you can stay healthy and focused Licensure assistance and reimbursement to keep your credentials current Paid time off to rest, recharge, and explore your temporary home base Referral bonus program — bring a friend and get rewarded Travel reimbursement and support with logistics so you can concentrate on care A supportive interdisciplinary team that values your expertise and growth Opportunities for skill development and continuing education support Travel Perks: Explore Silver Spring, MD Silver Spring is a lively, walkable hub just north of Washington, D.C.
