Job Description:
Position Summary Reporting to the senior-most practice leader of
the assigned practice plan structure, oversees, leads, and manages
daily operations of assigned practices to ensure quality patient
care. May supervise Practice Plan Manager I’s as allocated to
support practice plan structure. This position will have oversight
over the following MFA specialties: Cardiology Infectious Disease
Renal/Nephrology Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform
this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily. Performs other tasks and duties as
assigned. Ensures appropriate and high-quality staffing through the
scheduling and daily staffing of clinical support and office
coordinators, office, and practice managers. Collaborates with
clinical leadership to coordinate clinical staffing placement such
as CMA’s, nurses, and ancillary staff as required to ensure quality
clinical support to physicians and APP’s as appropriate to meet
patient care requirements. Supervises and oversees practice
budgets; monitors performance against budget, explains variances,
and ensures appropriate timely, corrective action to remediate
variances. Supports Executive Director in preparing annual budgets.
Under guidance from Executive Director, conducts data analysis to
deliver relevant monthly, ad hoc, and other periodic reports used
to make recommendations for problem resolution as appropriate.
Drawing on MFA’s established Patient Experience philosophy, tenets,
and program, leads implementation and operationalization of an
optimal patient-centered positive experience, ensuring focus on
patient access, patient preference, patient convenience, and
patient safety as well as relevant follow-up activities in line
with MFA’s core values and practice standards. Ensures and oversees
practice facilities, equipment, and supplies are maintained,
managed, clean, and in proper working order and/or levels to meet
practice needs. Under guidance from Executive Director, implements
corrective action timely. Monitors practice operations to identify
areas for improvement in areas such as improving patient access to
care, smooth and timely coordination, and support for access to
referrals to follow-up care; recommends opportunities for expansion
of services. Accountable for monitoring, prioritizing, and meeting
practice-specific goals, including scheduling and template
management for timely patient access. Accountable for ensuring the
highest quality practice operations and for meeting established
goals and objectives for patient experience. Ensures compliance
with organizational policies and procedures, and recommends
improvements to facilitate better provider, employee, and patient
experience. Addresses escalated provider service concerns, patient
concerns and complaints, and employee issues, focusing on finding
root causes to ensure timely resolution, service recovery, and
process improvement. Works closely with Executive Director and
internal support functions such as Patient Experience, Patient
Access, Compliance, Facilities Management, and Human Resources to
address and/or resolve matters of importance and opportunities for
change. Under guidance from the senior-most leader, assists in the
due diligence, practice valuations, contract negotiations, and
staffing as assigned. Oversees and leads hiring, orienting,
training, and engaging assigned practice staff. Under guidance from
the senior-most leader, supports fostering and managing positive
physician, employee, and patient relationships. Accountable for
ensuring a well-trained, service-focused, and highly engaged
workforce. Participates in and leads special projects and
initiatives to support and improve the overall direction and
performance of the organization Minimum Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of
training and experience Experience A minimum of 5 years of
management-level related experience Physical Requirements Sit,
stand, bend, reach, walk for long periods of time in a clinical
setting Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull
over 100 lbs. as part of the role Regularly exposed to healthcare
setting that may require personal protective equipment Requires
manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard, calculator, copier
