OverviewLMI is seeking an experienced and skilled Power BI application developer to assist business users across the organization in developing skills and solutions to support a federal program management office (PMO) charged with planning, acquiring, and managing the deployment and operation of technology and capabilities to keep our borders safe. We are looking for energetic self-starters who focus on practical and efficient solutions delivered by an interdisciplinary, collaborative team.   • Collaborate with an Operations Team to identify processes for automation and recommend automated solutions.
  • Design and develop automated processes using Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, and tools available through current licenses.
  • Utilize Microsoft Power BI features to design, develop, enhance, and support visualizations, including interactive dashboards, scorecards, and reports; automate data refreshes using Power BI Service.
  • Document process changes and quantify benefits gained through automation using metrics and examples.
  • Compile, collate, integrate, and transform data into meaningful visualizations.
  • Use data analytics to develop and analyze dashboards for real-time project, program, and portfolio measurement.
  • Share analyses, dashboards, and performance metrics with executives and managers to inform strategies and decisions.
  • Support business process transformation through automation.
  • Understand business problems and opportunities, and recommend solutions to meet reporting goals.
  • Maximize the impact of visualization products and enable automation where possible.
  • Provide knowledge transfer through training, creating content, and developing artifacts for team members.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, operations research, industrial engineering, mathematics, or related field.
    • Knowledge of eGIS.
    • High proficiency in creating and using Power BI dashboards, workbooks, and databases; utilizing data for decision-making; and developing engaging visualizations.
    • Experience supporting complex Power BI visualizations.
    • Self-starter with the ability to identify improvement opportunities through data analytics.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, ServiceNow, and SharePoint.
    • At least five (5) years of experience in Power BI development.
    • At least five (5) years of experience in Power Automate development.
    • Team-oriented with a positive attitude in dynamic environments.Desired Qualifications:
      • Master's Degree.
      • Agile experience and certifications.
      • Experience with other Power Platform components.
      • Development experience in Power Apps and Power Platform (MPP).
      • Mentoring experience for other developers in Power Automate and PowerApps.
      • Two (2) years' experience in Java, .NET, or C# development.
      • Experience connecting to various data sources using Power Query.
      • Experience with ServiceNow configurations and workflows.
      • All positions require eligibility to acquire CBP BI, for which U.S. citizenship is required. Highly preferred: Active U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) BI clearance.
      • This position is contingent upon successful completion of CBP BI and customer approval.
