Job Description:
To plan, manage, and direct the AI (Artificial Intelligence)
Strategy function. Build partnerships with cross-functional teams
throughout the innovation process to identify strategic AI
transformation opportunity areas for Navy Federal and the member
experience. Foster collaboration across innovation, governance, and
other Enterprise working groups to drive the AI strategy from an
aligned and connected perspective. Coordinate with cross-enterprise
stakeholders and manage vendor relationships. Partner to prioritize
the AI technology roadmap. Support senior leadership in developing
and executing AI strategic plans. Conduct highly complex work,
unsupervised and with extensive latitude for independent judgment.
Responsibilities • Lead the AI Strategy function and ensure that AI
initiatives align with the overall strategic goals of Navy Federal
• Drive opportunities for the greatest member value or improvement
to member experience from AI innovation • Oversee the AI use case
prioritization frameworks • Facilitate collaboration and knowledge
sharing across different business units to foster a culture of
innovation • Continuously scan the internal and external landscape
to identify opportunities for leveraging AI technologies •
Establish a framework for AI experimentation and learning,
providing guidance on how to execute pilots effectively • Develop
metrics and KPIs to measure the impact of AI initiatives on key
business outcomes • Ensure the Navy Federal workforce is prepared
to respond to the rapid advances in AI in partnership with HR,
training teams, and others • Champion the incorporation of ethical
AI principles and strict adherence to data privacy regulations
throughout the entire AI life cycle • Shape the enterprise-wide
generative AI strategy, cultivating a transformative roadmap and
strategic program • Remain at the forefront of AI advancements,
industry trends, and optimal practices, consistently enhancing our
AI initiatives to elevate member experiences and drive sustained
growth • Maintain thorough knowledge of and ensure compliance with
applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and NFCU
policies and procedures • Develop and maintain team-specific
components of the Division Annual Financial Plan (AFP) • Lead or
participate in organization-wide project teams; monitor projects
assigned to the department and ensure milestones are completed on
schedule • Develop and implement new/updated policies, procedures,
goals, and priorities as necessitated by demands, changing
conditions, and/or management request • Perform other duties as
assigned Qualifications • Significant experience leading an
innovation team • Expert knowledge of AI/ML industry and evolving
new advances in the field (e.g. Generative AI, Prompt Engineering)
• Expert experience in creating strategy for large scale
cross-enterprise initiatives • Extensive experience in a lead
capacity in technology research, strategy, and implementation in
the areas of AI, MLOps, machine learning, digital services, product
innovation, digital transformation, innovation management, and
strategy development • Extensive experience in creating strategic
and/or technology roadmaps • Expert experience in design thinking
and innovation frameworks • Advanced knowledge of AI governance
practices, including Ethical AI • Expert ability to communicate
effectively about AI with a broad range of audiences, from
sophisticated technical resources to those with little or no
technical background • Extensive experience in delivering creative
solutions by leveraging knowledge of the financial services
industry and technology trends • Advanced knowledge of
banking/financial industry trends, products and services • Advanced
skill to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while
balancing multiple priorities • Expert skill to influence and guide
strategic thinking as a trusted advisor • Expert critical thinking,
analytical, and problem solving skills • Expert skill identifying
and analyzing business requirements and recommending solutions •
Expert skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and
information clearly and concisely • Expert verbal, interpersonal
and written communications skills, including word processing,
spreadsheet and presentation software skills • MBA and/or related
degree or qualifications in AI, Data Science, Computer Science,
Information Technology, Strategy, or related field, or the
equivalent combination of education, training and experience Hours:
