Job Description Job Description SAMPLE ASSOCIATE DESCRIPTION The
Sample Associate maintains stocked sample par levels, fulfills
sample requests submitted by the Culinary Sales (CS) team, and
tracks sample outcomes. They fulfill orders on time, handle product
in compliance with food-safe standards, and manage communication
with vendors and across internal teams. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The
Sample Associate does the following. 1. Maintains personal
cleanliness and the cleanliness of assigned personal protective
equipment (PPE) 2. Keeps their work area and equipment clean in
compliance with food-safe handling requirements 3. Checks the
condition, quality, and expiration dates (“wholesomeness”) of
sample items; maintains cold chain; reports any quality concerns 4.
Monitors sample inventory; evaluates whether to create additional
inventory based on factors such as item lifecycle stage, whether an
item is part of sales promotion, and whether an item has exclusive
or unique characteristics 5. Generates Purchase and Sales Orders
for stocked samples, or “kits”; assembles and puts kits away in the
warehouse 6. Handles email communication with sales reps; follows
procedures and uses good judgement to respond to CS requests for
non-stock samples 7. Generates and analyzes sales reports to track
sample outcomes and make data-backed recommendations to the CS team
8. Works with the CS team to move surplus sample inventory 9.
Handles vendor communication, including bill-back requests, working
closely with the Accounts Payable team 10. Moves material both by
hand and using equipment to and from the repack facility and
warehouse locations; places items in assigned locations, ensuring
proper FIFO rotation 11. Effectively and responsibly uses and
maintains technology hardware; tracks use of packaging materials
12. Effectively and safely operates and maintains repack facility
equipment and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) a. Complies with
all use instructions and safety requirements b. Reports maintenance
issues to appropriate personnel 13. Contributes to the team by
performing other work as necessary QUALIFICATIONS ? Minimum one
year of back-of-house food service experience ? ServSafe or
equivalent certification preferred ? Ability to read and understand
invoices and other written materials ? Ability to work in a
fast-paced, high-volume receiving/shipping environment ? Experience
with powered/motorized warehouse equipment (manual and electric
pallet jacks) preferred ? Ability to work independently and as part
of a diverse team, changing gears when required ? Strong written,
verbal, and interpersonal communications skills ? Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite (especially Dynamics, Excel, Teams, and
Word) and other tech skills, including use of email, multi-line
phone system, and text ? Bilingual communications skills (English
and Spanish) preferred M-F 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
