Shift: 12-hour Night Shift (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.), 2 shifts per week Location: Alexandria, VA Pay: We offer competitive pay for LPNs from $33 per hour to $36 per hour plus shift differentials! About the Position This position is primarily responsible for monitoring the clinical and holistic health of the residents and delivering care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, while maintaining the standards of professional nursing. As a charge nurse with Goodwin Living, you will provide person-centered care in collaboration with care partners, medication aides, and interdisciplinary team. Job Duties Assign tasks to Care Partners and/or Med Techs in accordance with care plans and individual service plans. Educate and provide guidance to the care partner, resident, family members and other team members as appropriate. Manage any emergency medical issues occurring on his/her tour of duty, under the guidance of the nursing supervisor on duty. Plan and implement clinical interventions when appropriate, especially related to: pain management, skin integrity, bowel and bladder status, including continence and bowel movement monitoring, mentation, ambulation status, nutrition and hydration, resident safety and the reduction of injury and the effects of medication. Job Requirements Must be a graduate of an approved RN or LPN program Must have current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia or compact state of residence Must have current CPR certification A sampling of our many benefits!
